12TH PAMA INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION THAILAND 2011
• The 12th PAMA Abacus and Mental Arithmetic competition was held in
Thailand in December 2011 and was a massive success!
Throughout the competition, our South African team proudly wore their green and gold
shirts which were presented to them by the South African Rugby Union (SARU).

SEMAS honoured with PAMA membership 2010
SEMAS South Africa was honoured with a PAMA membership on the 29 August 2010 at the
11th PAMA Competition in Malaysia.
Only 1 abacus institution per country is chosen on merit and SEMAS SA were selected.
Marlene Ras will be going to Malaysia to accept this membership.
Who is PAMA?
The supreme motto of PAMA ,Pan Pacific Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Association of Taiwan
Chamber of Commerce, is to bring the leading abacus professionals under one roof,
provide guidelines and code of conduct to impart abacus education to its members,
to prevent the unauthorized and unrecognized abacus institutes to misguide
and misdirect the parents and students through fake syllabus and
course materials, provide a platform to the students to dream more as
well as participate and contest with the fellow students from different
participating countries in universally accepted abacus competitions,
develop and horn the brain development of children as well as
their overall attitude, expose the multi talented skills of
children before the global gathering as a step to shape them a leader.
